Abstract: This article examines the impact of changing geopolitical patterns on the global economy and trade, specifically focusing on the investment and industrial chain sector. Geopolitical dynamics have always played a pivotal role in shaping the global economic landscape, and recent shifts driven by evolving alliances, trade disputes, technological advancements, and emerging regional powers have presented both challenges and opportunities for countries and businesses operating within this sector. The restructuring of the global industrial chain holds significant implications for China and emerging markets in East Asia. China’s increasing influence and geopolitical interference, coupled with disruptions in the high-tech industrial chain caused by US restrictions, have reshaped the geopolitical landscape and created imbalances in global market supply dynamics. In response, China has implemented countermeasures and explored alternative regional markets. Furthermore, the article highlights the repercussions of US investment restrictions on the high-tech sector in the Asia-Pacific market. These restrictions, motivated by national security concerns, have the potential to disrupt traditional industrial advantages and consumer markets in the region, leading to long-term consequences. To address the impact of changing geopolitical patterns, the article proposes a collaborative global response. This involves bolstering domestic innovation and research and development capabilities through investments in education, vocational training, and collaboration between academia, research institutions, and industry. Additionally, leading economies can cooperate to tackle the human toll of climate change and public health crises by sharing technology in advanced manufacturing and renewable energy. By effectively navigating these changes and embracing collaborative approaches, countries can adapt to the evolving geopolitical landscape, overcome challenges, and capitalize on opportunities for sustainable growth and development in the investment and industrial chain sector.
